- [Keynote] The Digital Twin of an Organisation (DTO) – An executive command centre for real-time business optimisation. Terry Roach
- Abstract: The concept of a digital twin is quite well established in asset intensive industries, where a digital representation of a physical object provides real-time insights into its operational performance. However, in more abstract domains such as a complex social system, the idea of a digital twin is more difficult to imagine. This session introduces the Digital Twin of an Organisation (DTO): a dynamic, real-time model that reflects how an enterprise truly runs. More than just an operating model repository, the DTO serves as an analytical command centre, linking strategy, operations, and technology to uncover inefficiencies, and simulate scenarios for transformation. Discover how the power of Agentic AI and a DTO can transform business optimisation by enabling continuous insight, deeper alignment with strategic goals, and evidence-based decision-making across the organisation.
- Presenter biography: Dr. Terry Roach is the founder of Capsifi, an innovative business architecture vendor. Capsifi was recently acquired by Orbus Software, a leading global supplier of Enterprise Architecture tooling, where Terry now serves as Vice-President of Research & Innovation. Terry is a passionate advocate, academic researcher and recognised thought leader in business modelling and the practice of business architecture. He is a UNSW alumni and research collaborator, and holds an honorary fellowship at UTS, supervising PhD research in digital business modelling with agentic artificial intelligence.
